In August, Apollo Plumbing announced a contest for the naming of our beloved mascot. Our official Facebook page received over 40 submissions from wonderful people across the Seattle area. After much deliberation, Apollo’s leadership chose (with the help of additional voters) what they considered to be the best name for “the wrench guy”.
The name is Titan. Titan the Wrench.
In Greek mythology, the Titans were a race of powerful deities. They were said to have dwelled in the Golden Age, ruling until they were overthrown by a younger race of gods: the Olympians. As many of us know, the mythical Olympians included famous names like Zeus, Poseidon, Athena...and Apollo.
In the end, Titan was chosen due to its close relation to the name Apollo, as well as the double meaning “tighten”. At Apollo Plumbing, tightening pipes with tools just like Titan the Wrench is only one of the ways we serve Northwest homeowners. Leaky pipes, faulty water heaters, sewer inspection, drain cleaning – we do it all. With our fleet of service trucks and qualified employees, your home and family can relax in the knowledge that Apollo Plumbing is on the job.
